Boll weevil 3

Alright then. No luck on running down the source cd for Boll Weevil but I did get Now There is a Tree and it is in the same realm. This is most certainly Ohmigod music. The only way I can really describe the effect of it is that it sounds as though it was recorded in fresh air on a sunny day….it feels perfectly outside (and you know, some of the Lomax origin material probably was recorded that way (one cut features a number of prisoners, possibly a chain gang)). I can also say that if you get this cd, it is one of those that you just can’t put with anything else. It is itself and unique unlike almost anything I’ve heard. The only thing annoying about this cd is that it is quite short; about 17 minutes long.  But hey, length isn’t everything.
