Yesterday, at noon I was trying to document the invasion of the clouds. They covered the sky in all directions, literally hundreds of these dreadnoughts.
That evening I was once again out with the camera, and walking around the large field near my place, ended up on one end of it just as the other erupted in a golden glow near the horizon. You could only really shoot it from one angle, and I was about five minutes from it. By the time I got there, there was nothing to see. But I managed to find a few other things to capture and ended up with the Maxfield Parrish moment below.
