Photographer’s Lament

I spent summers in southern Manitoba on a prairie farm and saw hundreds of sunsets and sunrises against haystacks and cows and old tractors and barns, and cottonwood trees larger than any trees here in Alberta.

I spent a couple of months in Rothenberg ob der Tauber, a walled stone city over 2000 years old. It looked a little like this:


I spent about a year in Heidelberg, another city of stone and castles.
It looked like this:


Not to mention time in Rome and Bologna, San Sebastian, New Mexico, and so many other places, before I learned to take  pictures.
